Oil Crisis: What Would You Do?

In this lesson, students are given a hypothetical situation involving an oil embargo to the United States. Students become members of congress and work to arrange a solution, keeping in mind concerns of various special interest groups in the United States. Through this 3 day lesson, students learn the cost and benefit of the U.S. reliance on Middle Eastern oil and how that reliance plays out in American politics.
