Tapestry of Travel: Contributions of Arab/Muslim Civilization to Geography and World Exploration

This module is an excellent resource for history or other humanities teachers looking to teach about Arab travelers and the contributions of Arab and Muslim civilization; and individuals and others during the Medieval period. The module delves into the journeys of Ibn Battuta, one of the most famous 14th century Arab travelers. Other topics covered include the: early cosmology of Arabs, Baghdad and the European Renaissance, and renaissance men of the Arab Golden Age among many others.
